Because of this, he started taking revenge on Manasa's family without revealing his identity. Manasa's uncle was threatening Deva to give him some land, but when Deva refused, they criticized him, which Jai did not appreciate. He falls in love with his cousin Vennela, who lives with Jai's family as a joint family. Many years later when Jai learns about his family, he visits them. When Jai was a child, his father Deva wanted to reform the people of his village from unnecessary violence, but his mother Latha did not want to stay there, so she left him with Jai. Jai was born to Manasa family's rival family. When Manasa expresses her love for Jai, he tells about his past. Manasa's family expresses their wish to marry her to Jai. There, where everyone is violent and conservative in nature, Jai changes their nature, except Uma's, and makes them more lovable. Poorna invites Jai to his village for vacation. Jai then returns to India and changes the mind of Manasa's violent brother Poorna. They slowly become friends, but one day, Manasa asks Jai to leave her as she cannot stand the separation from him, because of her family restrictions, if their relationship develops any further. Jai, without fighting, resolves the conflict.

Tip-Off: Watch it for Prabhas, for there isn’t much of anything else that this movie has to offer, besides extreme close-ups of Richa’s waistline.In Milan, Italy, a girl runs into Jai, a guitarist, and asks him to save her from a gang of goons chasing her. The action episodes are well shot though and needless to say Prabhas crunches them. The rest we’re afraid will have to find other redeeming aspects of the film for themselves. The punch dialogues – ‘Cutout choosi konni konni oppukovali dude’, ‘Veelaithe preminchu.maha aithe tirigi premistharu’, ‘katti vaadadam modaledithe.naakantey baaga evvadu vaadaledu’– though few and far in between provide something for the fans to dig in to. The music by DSP is typically high on energy, numbers like Mirchi mirchi…, Darlingey…, and Idedobagunde… evoke the loudest whistles from the front rows. Brahmanandam chips in with his brand of comedy getting slapped by virtually everybody on screen, we just seem to find it so funny all the time. Sathyaraj takes the cake with his acting chops, closely followed by Sampath Raj. As did Anushka, the two look great together and work up a good chemistry as well. Prabhas has done a great job of being his usual self. He’s lost a lot of weight and the slim fitted clothes aided by the best profile shots accentuate his toned physique. The only element of novelty it seems went into designing Prabhas’s stylish new look. So a constant sense of déjàvu forms a big part of the movie experience. The narrative seems like a mish mash of films like Mr Perfect, Brindavanam, Shankam, Dhammu to name a few. Only, our man has a vested interest (it turns out it is all a part of an elaborate plan to redeem himself of his mother’s death!) as well, which off-course forms the crucial flashback episode which is where we get to see Vennela (Anushka), Jai’s cousin and first love, so to speak off. So our man decides to reform the family of murderers into peace loving people and succeeds as well. The cause of her unhappiness lies in her family’s violent past. On a whim he relocates to a nondescript faction ridden village in Palnadau, ostensibly to ensure Manasa (a pretty girl he runs into on the streets of Italy) is always happy. We have this crackerjack of a tall, fair and handsome architect guy, Jai, living the king’s life in Italy. The hero is supreme after all and that much this film manages to accomplish, kudos to the filmmakers. In the context of this movie, the whole refers to Prabhas, and the individual elements correspond to everything else that goes into making the movie – the script, sub plots, cast, music, technicalities etc. The idea can be very handy in understanding the why big star Telugu films are the way they are. Max Wertheimer, one of the pioneers of the idea believed that the “whole” is not determined by its individual parts, but the individual elements themselves are determined by the intrinsic nature of the whole.
